The Castro Valley Arts Foundation Board of Directors is a group of community members who share a common interest in supporting the Center for the Arts by providing high quality art experiences to students and the community.

Dr. Candi Clark earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership Administration and Policy from Pepperdine University. She is the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services for Castro Valley Unified School District. Dr. Clark is committed to the long-standing partnership between the Castro Valley Arts Foundation and CVUSD. Dr. Clark and her husband, Eddie, have two children, Eddie III and Amaya, who attend Castro Valley schools.
Mary Ann DeGrazia has lived in Castro Valley since 1972 and served within the Castro Valley Unified School District for 25 years. She worked at Canyon Middle School as a teacher and administrator and helped to open Creekside Middle School in 1996. She recently retired after 15 years as Creekside Middle School Principal.
Maribeth Delucchi earned her law degree from Santa Clara University in 1995. She formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Community Health Library of Los Gatos. She now lives in Castro Valley with her husband and two children. She is an active volunteer around Castro Valley in the arts, the schools, her church and Little League.
Kirsten Englund is a former CPA with more than 25 years of accounting experience with KPMG and Mervyn's. She has served as treasurer for Proctor PTA and Creekside Middle School Parent Teacher Club. Kirsten is a long-time resident of Castro Valley and has two teenage sons who attended Castro Valley schools. She is now retired and enjoys traveling.

Serena Foxworthy has been a Castro Valley resident for many years. She was Owner / Partner of Foxworthy's Tire Pro Shop in Castro Valley and the Hayward Branch Manager for Certified Personnel Services Inc, of San Francisco. She is a member of the Castro Valley Chamber of Commerce and has served on numerous committees and boards. Serena currently works at the Castro Valley Adult School.
Natalie Hung is a school secretary in the Castro Valley Unified School District and a big supporter of the theater. She has been involved in the arts for several years as a musician and performer. Natalie has performed in the bay area as well as in southern California where she lived for several years after college. She is married and has a daughter, Caty, who attends Castro Valley Schools. Caty is following in her mother's footsteps as a budding performer.

Bernie Kempen is a Certified Family Law Specialist with a practice in Castro Valley, Modesto and San Francisco. He is Past President of the Castro Valley Rotary Club, has been PTA President at Proctor, Creekside and Castro Valley High School as well as serving on the Proctor Elementary School Site Council and several other CVUSD Boards. Bernie also serves as Vice-President of the San Francisco School of Arts (SOTA) PTSA and is a Board Member (alt) of the SOTA School Site Council. He and his wife Kathy live in Castro Valley with their two teenage sons, David and Nick. Bernie appears in some local productions with son Nick just for fun.

Sherrie Kong is an independent IT consultant in the high tech industry. She also enjoys participating in performing arts by playing violin with the CV Adult School Chamber Orchestra and piano in various ensembles. Sherrie served as Secretary of the Music Parents Society and CV Arts Foundation board. Two adult children are alumni of CVHS, where son Chris’ music theater career was sparked.
Berenice Ku Sullivan is a pediatrician and practicing neonatologist at Kaiser Hayward and Walnut Creek. Berenice has been an active volunteer in the Center for the Art's Box Office and enjoys photography. She has photographed for Golden State Theatre Productions and Castro Valley High School productions.
Terry Liebowitz is an educator, arts advocate and founding member of the Castro Valley Arts Foundation. She is a writer and a regular contributor to the Castro Valley Forum's Arts and Entertainment section.
Leslie Rothwell recently retired from the Castro Valley Unified School District after 26 years of service. She was principal of Vannoy Elementary, Castro Valley High School and Director of Pupil Services. Leslie spent 12 years on the Castro Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and served as president in 2002-03. Leslie and her husband, Wayne, have lived in Castro Valley for 35 years and their two sons, Bolton and Austin, are graduates of CVHS.
Erma Smith is co-founder of the Smith Center for the Study of Private Enterprise at Cal State East Bay, and co-owner and Board member of the Nutek Corporation, a medical and surgical device sterilization company. She is a founding member of the Castro Valley Arts Foundation.

Randy Vanderbilt is a general contractor in Castro Valley, continuing the family tradition of building homes in Castro Valley since 1947. He was named the “Business Person of the Year in 2012 by the Castro Valley Chamber of Commerce. In addition to the Arts Foundation, he also serves on the Castro Valley Sports Foundation Board. He is an active member of the Castro Valley Rotary, and served as the Rotary Club President. Currently lives in Castro Valley with wife Debbie and daughter, Faith. Randy is a 1976 alumni of CV High School.
Michael Morgan (Honorary) is music director for the Oakland East Bay Symphony. He serves with many other musical organizations and is a widely acknowledged expert in arts education.

Darrell Lavin (Emeritus) is a chiropractor in private practice since 1989. He served on the board of the Castro Valley Sports Foundation and the Joseph Matteucci Foundation for Youth Non-Violence and is active with the Castro Valley Rotary Club and Rotary District 5170. CVHS alumni ‘81
