Ann Maloney-Mason

2018, 2023

Ann Maloney-Mason grew up in rural Ireland.  She received a teaching credential in Fine Art and Design from the Crawford Municipal College of Art and Design in Cork, Ireland.  After graduating, she moved to London where she lived for a number of years.  In 1990, she moved to San Francisco and secured a position as a graphic designer.

She has always been attracted to strong line and bright color.  She considers herself an intuitive artist and tends to work quickly and decisively, finding inspiration in many things.  Her work can be found in private collections in Ireland, England, Costa Rica, Australia, and the United States.

Ann is a member of A.R.T. Inc. in Castro Valley; a member of Hayward Arts Council; and a member of the Diablo-Alameda Branch of the National League of American Pen Women.

The Castro Valley Arts Foundation Series Program cover for 2015-2016 is an original watercolor donated by Ann Maloney-Mason.  This is the inaugural cover to be donated by a local artist and commemorates the 10th Anniversary of the Castro Valley Center for the Arts.
